 Good Morning:

In effort  to facilitate education and training for your community partners/constituencies, the SARS team has designed a few standard tools for use.  Each CHD will receive a bulk number of hard copies (SARS material) in the immediate future. Attached you will find a standard SARS power point presentation, bookmark, and SARS fact sheet.   All of these items were designed for the general public, non-healthcare worker.  As you will note, the basic theme is "universal precautions prevent spread of all disease".

I am aware of many excellent outreach activities.  Those who have not yet initiated, I urge you to immediately begin.  Your efforts are evident.  This has  helped alleviate alot of fear and misunderstanding as well as build stronger bonds with the community.    It is critical to keep your constituency and community well informed along the entire SARS journey.  Things change so rapidly and we may need to respond in an entirely different direction.   This will help keep us all prepared.

Headquarters routinely receive requests from groups such as hotels, EMS, fire/rescue, and law enforcement, schools, etc throughout the state for presentations/information on SARS.  We will be referring most of these requests to the local level.

I appreciate your support and thank you in advance for working on this team
